Sioux County Conservation and the City of Hawarden could be teaming up on a partnership for a boat ramp on the Big Sioux River.
At a recent city council meeting, Rob Klocke, representing the Sioux County Conservation Board, addressed the council and said there’s a need.
There has not been a boat ramp at Hawarden for several years. Klocke asked the City for assistance to buy the property.
Klocke said they hope to close on the property around the first of July. The Hawarden city council expressed support for moving forward on the project.
