A 57-year-old Orange City man was arrested Monday night following a reported domestic disturbance.
Orange City police were called to a residence in the 800 block of 4th Street Northwest around 7:15 p.m. Officers say their investigation determined Michael Brent De Jong assaulted another household member.
De Jong had left the residence before officers arrived, but was later located and taken into custody after returning. He was charged with domestic abuse assault, first offense, and was booked into the Sioux County Jail.
