Orange City Man Arrested For Assault

An Orange City man was arrested after authorities investigated an assault at a residence near Orange City.  At 11:41pm Monday, Sioux County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 19-year-old Cody Van Engen after an investigation revealed he had assaulted a family member and left the scene.  Deputies later located Van Engen in Ireton.  Further investigation revealed Van Engen’s driver’s license was suspended and barred.  Van Engen was taken to the Sioux County Jail and charged with domestic assault causing bodily injury, operating a motor vehicle while his driver’s license was suspended, and operating a motor vehicle while his driver’s license was barred.
