Residents of Orange City and Alton will have an opportunity to safely dispose of old electronics during a free e-recycling program this Friday and Saturday, October 17 and 18.
The event, co-sponsored by both cities, will take place at the Orange City Street Department Building, located just south of Ace Hardware at 809 Concord Place SE. Items can be dropped off on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Accepted items include computer monitors, CPUs, keyboards, printers, mice, smaller batteries, and televisions.
Residents wishing to participate must first pick up a free tag at their city office—one tag covers all items being recycled. Those without a tag will need to provide identification at drop-off.
