The Okoboji Bible Conference has announced that its upcoming event will take place from August 1 to August 7. This year marks the 92nd year of the conference, which relies entirely on community donations to remain open to the public without an admission fee

Executive Director Mark Schwarz, who has served in his position for a year and six months, shared that this year’s theme is “Endless Joy,” taken from Nehemiah chapter 8, verse 10. Schwarz noted that the theme was conceived during a staff prayer meeting back in the fall when the team was struggling to choose a direction.

Speaker and Musical Lineup

The conference features a variety of national speakers and musical artists throughout the week:

  • The Browns: A well-known regional gospel group performing on Saturday night.
  • John Stumbo: A veteran preacher and influential denominational figure speaking Sunday morning and evening.
  • Terrian: An up-and-coming musical artist who co-wrote the song “Big God” is performing Sunday night.
  • Aaron Maddox: A preaching pastor from the Omaha area speaking Monday and Tuesday nights.
  • Rachel Ruth Lotz Wright: The granddaughter of Billy Graham and an Angel Ministry speaker featured Wednesday night.
  • Josh Becker: A current New York Times bestselling author speaking Thursday night.
  • Andrew Rutten: A young pastor from Providence Church in the Omaha area speaking Friday night.

New “92 for 92” Initiative

To handle the high costs of running the event without putting pressure on attendees, the conference board has introduced the “92 for 92” program. Organizers are asking past attendees and supporters to consider sending in a seed gift of $92 to help support the 92nd year of the ministry.

Registration and Special Sessions

Registration is open and required for any kid from ages 0 to 17 who wishes to participate. Additionally, two special events will take place during the week:

  • Global Friends Event: A young adult gathering for individuals aged 18 to 30 on Monday at 9:00 p.m., featuring free nutty bars and food.
  • Pastors and Ministry Leaders Event: An afternoon honoring pastors and ministry leaders on Tuesday. This event is capped at 100 people and requires registration at okobojiconference.org.
