Northwestern College Exceeds Enrollment Goals for 2025-26

For the second year in a row, Northwestern College has exceeded its goals for new student recruitment by more than 10%. Fall 2025 figures list a total of 354 new students, including 37 transfers, the highest number of transfers in nine years.

Northwestern’s total fall enrollment is 1,665, the fourth largest in school history. The numbers include 471 graduate students, also the fourth largest.

“We’re grateful to welcome another large freshman class,” said Tamara Fynaardt, Northwestern’s vice president for enrollment and marketing. “Especially in the current higher education environment of program cuts, contracting budgets, and even failing institutions, it’s a testimony to God’s faithfulness that Northwestern continues to flourish on multiple fronts.”

International students make up 5.5% of Northwestern’s traditional undergraduates, an 11-year high.
