A Sioux City woman was arrested Saturday night following a reported disturbance and traffic stop in Orange City that led officers to discover an active no-contact order violation.
According to the Orange City Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, January 31st, to the 100 block of Kansas Avenue Northwest in reference to a reported disturbance near a vehicle.
When officers arrived, they were initially unable to locate any individuals in the area. A short time later, officers located the vehicle involved, leaving the area, and conducted a traffic stop.
During the course of the investigation, officers determined that Dolores Chrisna Chiokai, age 25, of Sioux City, who was seated in the passenger seat, had an active no-contact order with the male driver of the vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that Chiokai initially provided false identification information to law enforcement in an attempt to avoid identification.
Chiokai was arrested and charged with violation of a no-contact order and providing false identification information to law enforcement. She was transported to the Sioux County Jail, where she was booked.
The Orange City Police Department says the incident remains under investigation.
