Northwest Iowa Community College is recognizing two of its own with statewide honors for excellence in education and student support.
NCC announced that Milet Kracht and Lee Stover have been named recipients of the 2025 Outstanding Faculty and Outstanding Staff Awards from Community Colleges for Iowa.
NCC President Dr. John Hartog says the statewide awards give community colleges a chance to recognize employees who make a difference.
Hartog says the two honorees represent different, but equally important, sides of student success.
Milet Kracht received the Outstanding Faculty Award for his work in NCC’s nationally recognized Powerline Program. At the same time, Lee Stover, an Enrollment Management Specialist, earned the Outstanding Staff Award for his behind-the-scenes support of students and his positive approach.
Hartog says both recipients reflect NCC’s broader mission.
The awards were presented on December 3rd at the Community Colleges for Iowa Convention and Tradeshow in Des Moines.
