Northwest Iowa Community College has secured a $2.42 million Title III Strengthening Institutions Program grant from the U.S. Department of Education — the college’s fifth Title III award. The highly competitive, five-year grant will expand NCC’s capacity to serve students by strengthening enrollment management, academic support, and program development.
The funding will be used to improve tutoring, enhance data-driven advising, and create new opportunities in high-demand fields such as healthcare and manufacturing. Title III grants are awarded to help colleges enhance academic quality, institutional management, and student access and success outcomes.
“We are honored to receive this grant,” said Dr. John Hartog, President of NCC. “It allows us to invest in both our students and the future of northwest Iowa by equipping more graduates with the skills to thrive in high-demand careers and strengthen our regional workforce.”
NCC officials say the grant will have a lasting impact on student success from enrollment through graduation and beyond.
