The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motorcycle crash that occurred at 1 p.m. Friday, October 24, on Dove Avenue, about one mile west of Rock Valley.
According to authorities, Gregory Van Peursem, 55, of Rock Valley, was driving a 2025 Honda motorcycle when he entered the shoulder of the roadway and lost control.
Van Peursem was transported by Rock Valley Ambulance to Hegg Health Center for treatment of his injuries.
The motorcycle sustained an estimated $7,500 in damage, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Rock Valley Police Department, Rock Valley Fire Department, and Rock Valley Ambulance.
