Longtime Sioux Center business leader Marion Mouw has been named the 2026 Summer Celebration Parade Marshal.

Summer Celebration organizers announced the honor this week ahead of the annual community celebration, which runs June 3rd through the 6th in Sioux Center.

The recognition comes during a milestone year for Mouw Motor Company, which is celebrating its 100th year in business in 2026. According to company history, the dealership was founded in 1926 and has served generations of customers in Sioux Center and northwest Iowa.

Marion Mouw has been involved with Mouw Motor Company since 1949 and has long been associated with the family-owned business and the Sioux Center community.

On its website, Mouw Motor Company says it is committed to creating lifelong connections with customers while serving drivers across Iowa through sales, service, financing, and vehicle repair.

Summer Celebration is one of Sioux Center’s annual community events and includes activities throughout the week for all ages. This year’s schedule features the “James and the Giant Peach” musical performances, a community cookout, street dance, tractor ride, merchant market, quilt show, car show, BBQ challenge, kids carnival, food vendors, the annual parade, and more.

The Summer Celebration Parade begins Saturday, June 6th, at 5:00 PM along First Avenue SE and NE in Sioux Center.
