Little Rock Woman Arrested on Burglary and Theft Charges

A Little Rock woman has been arrested on charges of burglary and theft.

According to records from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office filed with the Clerk of Court, 47-year-old Jennifer Vasquez was taken into custody on Wednesday, December 31st. Vasquez is accused of entering her estranged husband’s home without permission and stealing items belonging to his girlfriend.

In his statement, the deputy says the incident occurred on December 14th, when Vasquez allegedly forced entry through the front door of the Little Rock residence. She is accused of stealing a bag or suitcase and clothing, with the items valued at at least $845.

Vasquez was charged with third-degree burglary, a class D felony, which carries a possible sentence of up to five years in prison if convicted. She is also charged with third-degree theft, a misdemeanor.

Vasquez is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on January 20th, 2026.

At last report, she remained in the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids in lieu of bond.
