Lee Greenwood to Headline Veterans Day Concert at Clay County Fair

Country music artist Lee Greenwood will headline a special Veterans Day concert at this year’s Clay County Fair, performing in front of the grandstand on Monday, September 14th. He’ll be joined by special guest Jimmy Fortune, a longtime member of the Statler Brothers.

The performance coincides with Veterans Day at the fair, an annual observance honoring military service members. This year’s event carries added significance as the United States marks its 250th anniversary, bringing an additional patriotic backdrop to the concert.

Greenwood is widely known for his signature patriotic anthem “God Bless the USA,” which has become a staple at military and national celebrations since its release in 1984. Fortune, meanwhile, spent more than two decades with the Statler Brothers, contributing to some of the group’s biggest hits and continuing to perform as a solo artist.

Tickets for the grandstand concert go on sale at 10:00 am this Friday and can be purchased online.
