A Le Mars man has been arrested on a felony sex abuse charge in Sioux County.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrest log, 25-year-old Casey Rodriguez of Le Mars was taken into custody on Saturday.
Court records indicate that a judge has increased the security level of the criminal complaint — a move likely intended to protect the identity of the victim. As a result, details surrounding the incident and its location have not been made public.
Rodriguez has been charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony. If convicted, he could face up to ten years in prison.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th.
Rodriguez was booked into the Sioux County Jail in Orange City and was released the following day after posting a $10,000 bond.
