The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association has announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2026, recognizing musicians, promoters, DJs, and music supporters from across the state for their lasting impact on Iowa’s music scene.
Inductees in the Band Category include Cave Band, Acoustic Groove, The South Prairie Band, Artist Band, Murphy’s Law, Standing Hampton, and Lizard Creek.
The Border Band Category inductee is The Floras.
Ray’s Midbell Music will be inducted into the Music Store Category. At the same time, this year’s Individual Category honorees include Ryan Sather, Dan Cassady, Steve Hugg, Dan Olsen, Jerry Steinke, Bev Gilpin, Dirk Newton, Chris Montez, Candy Givens, Richie Lee, and Damon Dotson.
Honorees in the Promoter Category are Steve White, David Bernstein, and Adam Feiges. The DJ Category inductees are Dan Crouse and Jim Bollard.
This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipients are Carlos Capdivila and Bob Pace, while the Matousek Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Walter Chancellor Jr. and Clarence “Pops” Kenner.
The association also announced its 2026 Special Achievement Award recipients, who are not inductees into the Hall of Fame. The Holy Rocka Rollaz and Valerie Kane will receive Spirit Awards, and Doris Welle will receive the John Senn Legacy Award.
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association’s Hall of Fame Induction Spectacular will be held Labor Day Weekend, with additional details to be announced at a later date.
