A Hull man has been charged following a two-vehicle crash that occurred last month on Highway 18 in Sioux County.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested 26-year-old Tyler James Woelber of Hull on Tuesday evening, May 27th.
Crash Investigation
Authorities say the arrest stems from an April 24th accident on Highway 18. Investigators report Woelber was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Impala when he crossed the center line and collided with a semi tractor-trailer driven by 19-year-old Brandon Allen Breon of Sheldon.
Woelber was transported by the Boyden Ambulance to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Charge Filed
Following additional investigation, deputies determined Woelber was allegedly operating the vehicle while under the influence.
Woelber was charged with Operating While Intoxicated — Second Offense, an aggravated misdemeanor under Iowa law.
