Hull Man Arrested for Violating Terms of Iowa’s Sex Offender Registry

Sioux County authorities have arrested a Hull man for violating terms of the Iowa Sex Offender Registry after the administrator of a Facebook page for young girls intercepted a friend request he had allegedly sent. 69-year-old Ronald Bonestroo of Hull was arrested Monday.

Deputies say the administrator of the Facebook page discovered Bonestroo was a registered sex offender after his name was initially added, and say his account was blocked that evening.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says Bonestroo was convicted of attempting commercial sex trafficking in another state back in 2013.

Bonestroo was released after posting a $2,000 bond.
