On Tuesday, September 16th, at 12:28 pm, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Austin Vink, of Hull, on theft charges.
The arrest stemmed from an investigation that occurred at Vink’s former employer, Agropur, in Hull.
The investigation revealed that between Tuesday, July 29th, and Monday, September 15th, Vink stole cash, gift cards, and other items from a secured money box at Agropur. After other employees noticed funds missing, a security camera was installed, which later captured Vink entering the office, accessing the money box, and removing cash.
Vink admitted to committing multiple thefts that occurred over several weeks, with the total value of the stolen property exceeding $800.
Vink was transported to the Sioux County Jail.
