The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Hospers man in a joint investigation with the Sioux Center Police Department Wednesday. The investigation started when the sheriff’s office received a report of a stolen vehicle from a Hospers residence.
Sioux Center Police Officers located the stolen vehicle in Sioux Center and attempted to stop the driver. The driver would not stop, and after a pursuit in Sioux Center, the vehicle struck a curb and became disabled on a lawn. 18-year-old Ayden Joslin of Hospers was the driver of the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident.
Joslin was taken to the Sioux County Jail and faces several traffic violations in Sioux Center, along with felony eluding. The Sioux County Sheriff’s Department is also charging Joslin with theft for stealing the vehicle in Hospers.
He was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
