Hospers Hosting Fundraiser for New EMS Facility

Hospers, Iowa — A different kind of fundraiser is happening this weekend in Hospers — and it’s for a much-needed project for which the whole community will benefit. Mandy Falkena with the Hospers EMS Fundraising Committee was a guest on The Daily Grind on KSOU this week. She talked about the plans for a new EMS facility in Hospers:

The plans for a new facility have many benefits.

Falkena says the cost for the new facility is estimated at about $2.8 million. They have a little over $2 million committed now. A fundraising event, Drive On Back to the 50’s will be held on Saturday in Hospers.

Most of the events are for freewill donations, while the poker run does have a $25 per-person entry fee. She says you don’t have to register for any of the events — just show up on Saturday and bring the family. The festivities start at 11:30 a.m. with the poker run.
