A Hinton woman was arrested near Sioux Center early Friday morning. The arrest of 46-year-old Shannon Heckler stemmed from a 911 call from Heckler who told the dispatcher she was riding on a northbound BNSF Railway train car north of Sioux Center. IA. Sioux County Communications contacted the BNSF Railway who was able to contact the train crew to stop the train near Sioux Center; officers were able to locate Heckler.
Heckler says she climbed on the train in Sioux City attempting to get to her home in Hinton.
Heckler was taken to the Sioux County Jail and charged with public intoxication and trespassing.
