Highway 75 Progress: Paving Pushes Toward Downtown Sioux Center

Construction crews are making steady headway on Highway 75 in Sioux Center, with key paving milestones and infrastructure improvements setting the stage for the next phase of downtown renewal.

Recent Progress shows that crews have successfully paved the northbound lanes between 5th Street South, near Bethel Church, and 2nd Street South by Children’s Dental. In this stretch, storm sewer lines have been installed up to 2nd Street North, while pavement removal has continued northward between 3rd and 4th Street North. Water main installation has advanced on both sides of the highway from 2nd Street North to approximately 4th Street South. Additionally, synthetic turf has been laid between 13th and 6th Street South, giving a preview of the updated streetscape aesthetics coming to the redesigned corridor.

Next Steps: As crews push north, upcoming work includes completing water service connections in the downtown area and continuing underground utility installations past 5th Street North. Paving will resume with the southbound lanes between 5th and 2nd Street South, along with side street connections and turn lanes within that segment. Once completed, efforts will shift to paving the stretch from 2nd Street South to near 3rd Street North—the intersection of the downtown traffic signal.
