Highway 75 Construction Progressing North

Highway 75 road construction in Sioux Center is set to move further to the north beginning today (Monday). The road closure will extend from the downtown stoplight intersection to north of 5th St North, which is near Central Park and the entrance to Perspective Insurance and the old Central Tire. Underground work will begin in this area.

Beginning on Tuesday, the downtown stoplight intersection, near Northwest Bank, will close for a few days to complete work on sewer service in that intersection. Then it will reopen to allow just east-west traffic to cross the highway. While the stoplight corner is closed, the intersection at 4th St North, which is near Avenue Vet, will be open to allow cross traffic. But when the stoplight corner opens again, the 4th St North intersection will close.

Meanwhile, on the south end, crews are prepping to begin paving work near Bethel Church and 5th St South, working their way north.
