Hawarden United Foundation Accepting Applications for Additional 2024 Flood Disaster Relief Funds

The Hawarden United Foundation is accepting applications for additional disaster relief funds for individuals and businesses that were affected by the flooding in Hawarden in 2024.

The additional funding is intended to provide continued assistance to those who experienced financial losses or hardship as a result of the flood. Both homeowners and businesses are eligible to apply.

Homeowner applications request information regarding flood damage, household losses, foundation issues, financial losses, FEMA assistance, insurance, and other financial assistance received.

Businesses are asked to provide information about the extent of flood damage, including building repairs, equipment, inventory, supplies, and other losses, as well as any assistance already received. Applications also include information about how funds would be used to help keep the business operating and retain employees.

The Hawarden United Foundation recognizes that the effects of the 2024 flood continue to impact members of the community. These additional funds are intended to help provide meaningful assistance to those who continue to face financial challenges stemming from the disaster.

Applications are available in English and Spanish; completed applications must be returned to the Hawarden United Foundation no later than September 30, 2026.

The Hawarden United Foundation is committed to supporting the Hawarden community and helping residents and businesses continue to recover from the devastating 2024 flood.

Applications can be picked up and returned at Peoples Bank or Rivers Edge Bank in Hawarden, or they can be found on the Hawarden United Foundation website at hawardenunitedfoundation.com.
