A Hawarden man was seriously injured Friday morning in an accident involving a grain trailer at Premium Feed and Grain in Brunsville.
According to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office, 21-year-old Dylan Ver Hoeven of Hawarden was working next to a grain trailer attached to a Freightliner semi driven by 26-year-old Dillan Baartman of Le Mars. As the trailer pulled away from the mill, a piece of Ver Hoeven’s clothing became caught, dragging him several feet.
Ver Hoeven was initially transported to Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars before being airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls with serious leg injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
