Recovery from the devastating 2024 floods has not been easy, but the city of Hawarden is moving forward. Hawarden Mayor Larry Gregg was a recent guest on The Daily Grind program on KSOU.
He says in some ways the city is better off than before the flood.
After a long wait, Gregg said the FEMA funding for local homeowners is finally taking shape.
Since the flood, Gregg says new housing is on the rise in Hawarden.
More than 300 homes in Hawarden were damaged by the flooding in 2024.
