The Sioux County Ag Expo Center in Sioux Center will host its first-ever Fall Harvest Fest on Saturday, October 18, on the fairgrounds.
The celebration will feature more than 30 unique vendors, horse-drawn hayrides, a bouncy house, live music, and a variety of food trucks offering seasonal favorites.
Event Coordinator Bailey Stetson says the board considered more than one option to break in the new expo center.
Stetson adds that the idea grew out of a shared interest in bringing people together.
Stetson said they wanted to incorporate vendors not only from Sioux County but from other places around the area. She gave a more detailed description of what people can expect this weekend.
Among the performers will be Gavin Erickson from Spirit Lake, Lydia Van Kley from Sioux County, and James Wood from the Illinois area. Doors will open at 10:00 am, with festivities wrapping up around 8:00 pm. Stetson encourages visitors to come and go as they please.
While they’d love for the festival to become an annual tradition, she says they want to see how this year goes before making any long-term commitments.
