Fire Destroys House Near Sheldon

A suspicious fire destroyed a house on the south side of Sheldon Wednesday afternoon.  Sheldon Fire Chief Brad Hindt says the call was made around 4:15. When firefighters arrived, smoke was coming from the front of the house, and fire was rolling across the ceiling on the main floor.  About 7,000 gallons of water was used to put out the fire and hot spots.

Hindt says the cause of the fire is being ruled suspicious, so an investigation is ongoing.  No injuries were reported.
