U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra announced Thursday that his campaign for governor of Iowa has raised $4.3 million in its first seven months, a figure the campaign says sets a new off-year fundraising record for a Republican gubernatorial candidate in the state.
According to the campaign, the total includes roughly 2,000 individual contributions and reflects broad financial support from across Iowa as Feenstra seeks the Republican nomination.
Feenstra, who has represented Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District since 2021, previously served as a state senator and as Sioux County treasurer. His district includes much of northwest Iowa.
The campaign also reports the expansion of its fundraising operation through the Feenstra Finance Committee, which now includes dozens of donors and business leaders from across the state. Campaign officials say the strong fundraising position places Feenstra as the early frontrunner for the Republican nomination.
Feenstra said he intends to continue building statewide support as the campaign moves forward.
