A crash involving farm equipment on Highway 60 near Alton sent a Texas man to the hospital. The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office was called Wednesday afternoon to the crash site, two miles northeast of Alton.
52-year-old Bruce Korver of Alton was driving his tractor, pulling two Demco grain wagons loaded with corn, southbound on Highway 60. 65-year-old Russell Green of Pasadena, TX, was driving behind Korver in a Chevy Silverado pickup when he struck the rear wagon.
Green was taken to Orange City Area Health System for treatment of minor injuries, Korver did not report any injuries.
The grain wagons sustained about $20,000 in damage while Green’s pickup sustained about $65,000 in damage. Green was cited for following too close.
