Sioux Center-based Epic Realty has entered a new chapter after affiliating with Century 21 Signature Real Estate, a move owner and broker Jennifer Jansen says will provide additional resources and opportunities while allowing the company to remain independently owned and operated.
Epic Realty officially joined Century 21 earlier this year and now operates as The Epic Team with Century 21 under the Century 21 Signature Real Estate umbrella. Jansen says the decision was not made overnight.
A Conversation that Started the Process
Jansen says the idea first surfaced about a year ago during an Iowa Realtors networking event, where a fellow Realtor encouraged her to think about the future of her business.
“You have to remember not to be so busy in your business that you forget to work on your business.”
She says the advice caused her to pause and think about the long-term future of Epic Realty, which has served Northwest Iowa communities for the past 12 years.
After months of consideration and conversations with Century 21 representatives, Jansen says the opportunity became increasingly appealing.
“It just became very clear to me that there were no cons and all pros, and I’m really excited about it.”
More Resources for Agents and Clients
Jansen discusses one of the biggest reasons behind the move.
“The toolbox just got way bigger,” Jansen said. “The umbrella is huge, and there are so many resources at Century 21 that we’re proud to offer.”
She says that the toolbox includes expanded systems, training opportunities, and support not only for her agents, but also for the clients they serve.
Still a Sioux Center Business
Jansen also emphasized that the company was not sold and remains locally owned and operated in Sioux Center.
“It is independently owned,” Jansen said. “We are a part of their franchise as a team, but we are independently owned and operated.”
Jansen says customers will continue working with the same local team and will still find the business making decisions from its Main Street office in Sioux Center. She says the new partnership simply provides additional support and opportunities for future growth.
