Dordt University will break ground this fall on two major student housing projects to accommodate record enrollment.
Construction on four new “Squares” apartment buildings on the east side of campus is set to begin within the week, with completion expected by fall 2026. Work on a new 220-bed residence hall for freshmen and sophomores—east of East Campus and north of Covenant Hall—will start later this year.
President Dr. Erik Hoekstra says the projects are about more than adding beds, aiming to create a home-like environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.
Dordt is serving its largest student body ever this fall, with 2,077 students enrolled—1,655 of them full-time undergraduates from across the country.
