To support its growing nursing department, Dordt University has welcomed three new faculty members who bring extensive clinical, leadership, and educational experience.
New Faculty Members
- Olivia Chapman (Program Director, MSN-FNP): A Dordt alumna with over two decades of experience at Orange City Area Health System, including ten years as a family nurse practitioner, returns to her alma mater to lead the graduate program.
- Dianne Hoekstra (Associate Professor of Nursing): Joins Dordt following a decade at Purdue University Northwest as a clinical professor and undergraduate nursing curriculum coordinator.
- Robin Van Zandbergen (Instructor of Nursing): A Dordt nursing alumna and family nurse practitioner since 2014, bringing experience across rural hospitals, public health, clinics, and primary care, alongside prior work in business and elementary education.
Dr. Leah Zuidema, Vice President for Academic Affairs, lays out the importance of the new faculty hires.
