Dordt University will host a community dedication for several new campus spaces on Saturday, October 18, at 10:30 a.m. in The Atrium.
The celebration will highlight The Atrium—Dordt’s new dining and community hub—as well as the Recital Hall, a venue for student recitals, ensemble concerts, and community performances. Following the program, guests may tour other recently completed facilities, including the Campus Townhomes, Campus Cottages, and the Spronk Animal Science Education Center.

“These spaces represent more than bricks and mortar,” said Brandon Huisman, vice president for advancement and marketing. “They’re places where students gather, grow, and experience the Christ-centered community that defines Dordt.”
The Atrium is designed as the heart of campus life—a place to eat, study, and connect. For the music department, the new Recital Hall offers a dedicated home for performance.
The program will feature remarks from university leaders, faculty, and students, followed by a prayer of dedication and open tours of the new and renovated facilities.
