Sioux County, along with the IOWA DOT, decided to make significant changes to the Highway 75/10 intersection. Right-turn lanes on 75 will be turned into positive offset right-turn lanes, which shifts them over to the right more. This is to help drivers stopped on Highway 10 to see the oncoming traffic better. Sarah Tracy, District 3 Planner at the Iowa DOT, lays out when these changes will take place.
Roundabouts are also being added to the US75/HWY18 junctions to slow down traffic. Tracy explains a roundabout isn’t out of the question for Million Dollar Corner in the future either.
