An Orange City man died after suffering injuries in an ATV accident on Thursday. The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 9:43pm Thursday, Sioux County authorities and Orange City Police responded to an ATV rollover accident on Ironwood Ave. Officers arrived to find 37-year-old Nicholas Garritson of Orange City had become trapped under the vehicle. The investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling on private property and made a tight turn while accelerating. The ATV then rolled onto the driver’s side. A passenger, Jonathan Monroe of Paullina, was not ejected and suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to the Orange City Hospital where Garritson succumbed to his injuries.
