Attendance numbers for the just concluded season at the Arnolds Park Amusement Park were positive. Jon Pausley, President and CEO of Historic Arnolds Park, Incorporated, says that was the case despite several challenges.
“We didn’t break any attendance records, but we have been right on par with what we saw in twenty three and twenty five. Obviously, twenty four with the flood year was a little bit different. So we had we were really happy with the the attendance amounts. We had almost eight hundred zero zero zero visits to our property according to the place or the cell phone data tracking that we look at. And of course, the biggest, the biggest events in the weekends were certainly Saturdays and the July fourth weekend. But we were very happy with seeing people come through and glad to give everybody another year with a great summer experience.”
Pausley says some other factors also came into play as the season progressed.
“It’s always interesting with with gas prices and what the economy looks like and some concerns, I don’t think we saw as much as many families that were here for as long as they might normally be. That might have attributed to a few numbers. But I also we also saw an uptick in what seemed to us day day trips to the park as well.”
Now, Pausley says preparations are already underway for the upcoming season at Arnolds Park which will include some new attractions and an old classic that will be coming back following a hiatus. We’ll have more on that in upcoming newscasts.
