Akron Man Injured After Rolling Pickup on Icy Road

An Akron man was taken to the hospital after an accident in Sheldon on Sunday.

The Iowa State Patrol reports that at about 10:15 a.m., 34-year-old Christopher Addleman of Akron was driving a Ford pickup southbound on Highway 60.  The report states that as Addleman was driving on the Highway 18 overpass at Sheldon, his pickup lost traction, spun around, and entered the west ditch. The pickup then rolled several times before coming to a rest on its passenger side.

He was extricated from the vehicle by rescue personnel and taken to Sanford Sheldon Hospital.
