The Sioux Center Community School District is accepting applications for a Middle School English as a Second Language teacher. The perfect ESL instructor will work with 6th thru 8th grade students as a classroom leader. You will plan lessons, assist student integration into English only classrooms as well as evaluate student work, coordinate and administer the E.L.P.A. 21, an English Proficiency Test, and analyze the scores for student placement. You will be an integral educator teaching classes, providing language intervention, and will co-teach with general education teachers and help new students navigate the school system. Requirements include a B.A. in teaching education or equivalent, possess an Iowa teaching license with ESL endorsement or the ability to obtain them within 60 days of hire.
