The City of Sioux Center is seeking to hire a full-time School Resource Officer. This officer will be a visible role model specifically for the Sioux Center Christian School while maintaining a positive presence during regular school hours handling all complaints on campus and counsel students. The SRO will use a multi-faceted law enforcement approach while fulfilling additional roles such as teacher, counselor, and mentor. Additionally, this position provides an opportunity to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents while enforcing laws to promote a safe learning environment. When school is not in session, the SRO will assist with patrol duties as well as Code Enforcement for the Sioux Center Police Department.
