The City of Alton is accepting applications for an Electric Lineman / Gas Operator who will ensure the safety, maintenance, and improvement of the city’s essential electric and gas infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to the community through positive attitude and strong work ethic. Applicants with experience from “Skilled Apprentice” to “Journeyman” preferred with consideration for training the right person pursuing an apprenticeship program to Journeyman qualifications.
