Sioux County Conservation will host a public input meeting on the upcoming County Parks Tree Inventory and Management Plan on Wednesday, September 30th at 6:30 p.m. The meeting takes place at the Prairie Woods Nature Center, 4051 Cherry Ave. in Hawarden.

The project, developed in partnership with Prairie Creek Environmental, focuses on improving the long‑term health, safety, diversity, and management of trees in Oak Grove State Park, Sandy Hollow, and the Big Sioux Recreation Area. Staff will outline plans for a formal tree inventory, maintenance priorities, species diversity improvements, and future planting guidance.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and share input on the future of these important tree resources.
