The City of Larchwood will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Larchwood Community Center on Thursday, September 17th at 2 p.m. The event takes place at the construction site in the Northern Acres development.

City leaders call the project “an exciting milestone for Larchwood… an investment in Larchwood’s future and in the people who call our community home,” according to Mayor Ken Kerkvliet.

The $4.1 million facility will include a gymnasium, fitness and aerobics rooms, a community room for about 100 people, a kitchen, and additional spaces for programs and events.

Residents are invited to attend and help celebrate the start of construction on this major community project.
