The Sioux County Conservation Board is hosting a Family Ice Fishing Clinic at Sandy Hollow Recreation Area on January 24th, starting at 9 a.m. Anyone 16 or older with a valid fishing license is welcome. Ice holes, bait, and equipment will be provided — just bring snacks and a bucket to sit on.

Guest demonstrator Rowan Oostra of Sioux Center, an avid fisherman and Clam Outdoors Pro, will be on hand. Park entry fees are waived for the event, and door prizes and a meal will be provided by Backdraft BBQ, Sioux Center Hy‑Vee, and the Sioux County Conservation Foundation.
