Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day calls for the likelihood of cooler-than-normal conditions in most areas east of the Rockies, while warmer-than-normal weather will dominate the Northwest. Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation across much of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal weather in the Pacific Northwest and portions of the mid-South and upper Midwest.
