A U-Pick strawberry grower says the crowds keep growing during her harvest season.
Ronda Gilbert is the third generation of her family to market pick-your-own strawberries at Beard’s Produce in West Michigan.
“It’s crazy to see how many people come right now,” she shares. “We could plant twice as many berries, but I’m not sure I want to be that busy. I don’t know if I can hire that many people to keep us there!”
Gilbert says interest has swelled since the pandemic and word of mouth keeps bringing customers to their farm.
