Across the Corn Belt, cool air has begun to overspread the upper Midwest. However, much of the region remains at risk for additional severe thunderstorms, featuring high winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes. Among the areas of greatest concern for flash flooding and damaging thunderstorms are the middle Mississippi and lower Missouri Valleys.
