Seasonal heat & rainfall continue for most across the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and rainfall across most of the country.  Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to parts of the Northeast and Pacific Northwest. Meanwhile drier-than-normal weather should be limited to California, the Great Basin, and portions of the Intermountain West.
