Seasonal heat & rainfall continue for most across the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures and rainfall across most of the country.  Cooler-than-normal conditions will be confined to parts of the Northeast and Pacific Northwest. Meanwhile drier-than-normal weather should be limited to California, the Great Basin, and portions of the Intermountain West.

Two more USDA appointments confirmed

The U.S. Senate has confirmed two USDA appointments amid the government shutdown. Devon Westhill is the Assistant Secretary of Agriculture for
