Plan for postemergence herbicide failures

Farmers are encouraged to prepare for postemergence herbicide failures.

Andy Carriger with Corteva Agriscience tells Brownfield some of the reasons a product fails are within a growers’ control, but some are not.

“A few examples within your control might include the selection of the herbicides, if you use the wrong chemistries for the wrong weeds that is a recipe for failure.”

He says incorrect rates and application timing can also lead to weed escapes.
